Health Care Analyst
Position Description
Braid-Forbes Health Research, a dynamic healthcare consulting firm, is recruiting bright, independent freelancer. Work independently and as part of our team as an independent contractor, investigating payment, policy questions and conducting research using health insurance claims and survey data. Seeking self-motivated puzzle solvers to answer questions related to health policy, health care delivery and marketing, and contribute to research studies. Our clients include medical device manufacturers, professional associations, and other provider/payer groups.
Flexible hours | Remote working | No travel required.
Qualifications and Experience
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Master’s or PhD, preferably in health informatics, public health, public policy, economics, or biostatistics, or student in one of these programs.
Knowledge of current key issues in healthcare policy and payment reform.
Experience with analysis of health research datasets, especially Medicare claims data or other claims datasets.
Experience working in the health care industry and/or consulting with clients.
Skilled at interpreting and summarizing large amounts of data and articulating findings.
Must be able to program in SAS and have strong Excel skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
